Phil Meyer (born 1990) is a filmmaker from Lucerne with Australian roots. he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication at HSLU Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Design, Film, Art. His debut short documentary A Place Like This premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and gained significant attention. His feature film debut Typical Emil premiered at the Zurich Film Festival and is among the most successful Swiss films of 2024. Phil Meyer works as a freelance film director in Lucerne.
